4 Bosch Security Systems shall keep and maintain a list of all certified VACIE installers and will notify them about timely
renewal of their certificate.
5 Bosch cannot and will not accept the responsibility for the EN54-16 compliancy of any VACIE if the following way of
working is not adhered to for any VACIE, branded as Bosch:
• At least one of the VACIE installers doing the installation must be a certified VACIE installer. The actions listed
below must be performed by a certified VACIE installer who represents the VACIE installation company.
• The VACIE shall be installed according to the applicable clauses mentioned in the EN54-16 standard under the
supervision of a certified VACIE installer.
• The certified VACIE installer shall sign each clause of the EN54-16 checklist, as provided in the Installation and
User Instructions, upon fulfilling the requirements of that clause. Some requirements will be met by design of
the equipment used, some other requirements may need a specific configuration in hardware or software.
• The certified VACIE installer shall login to the Bosch registration website
(https://license.boschsecurity.com) to register the project, and apply for a system registration number by
uploading the so-called project documentation, i.e.:
1. scanned version (pdf-file) of the authentic, completed, dated and signed EN54-16 checklist,
2. a copy of the configuration file of each network controller used in the system,
3. a sufficiently high resolution photo of the rear and front view of each equipment rack used in the
system, or rack drawings providing equivalent information,
4. an htm-file of the Device information web page, showing the following data of each networked
product: serial number, product name, hardware release number and firmware release number.
• Upon receiving the project documentation, Bosch Security Systems will check the received information on
completeness and store these for future reference with a unique project file number. Then Bosch Security
Systems will email the project file number to the certified VACIE installer to fill-in on the VACIE-label.
• The certified VACIE installer shall fill-in the year and project file number on the VACIE label and affix the
VACIE-label to the main equipment rack of the VACIE. The installer is only allowed to affix the VACIE label on
the applied cabinet of a Praesideo system, wherein the network controller (PRS-NCO3) has been installed. The
VACIE label shall be clearly visible without prior manual intervention.
6 For at least 10% per year of the received projects, with a minimum of 50 per year, Bosch Security Systems will check the
project documentation on correctness related to EN54-16, by visual inspection and/or by using a configuration file
inspection program. For at least 1% per year of the received projects, with a minimum of 5 per year, Bosch Security
Systems will do a site visit to inspect the actual system and perform an in-depth analysis of the installation. In case of
significant deviations of the installation and/or the project documentation with respect to the EN54-16 standard,
including incomplete, inaccurate or erroneous information, Bosch Security Systems will contact the certified VACIE
installer to discuss the reasons and consequences of the found deviations. This may result in rework of the installation
and/or project documentation, or even retraction of the VACIE label and disqualification of the installer as certified
VACIE installer.
7 Any installer or customer is free to install a Praesideo system without adhering to these requirements and use the system
as a non certified public address system.
8 Bosch Security Systems shall establish and maintain a customer complaint reporting and tracking system. Product
changes that result from complaints that are or may be related to EN54-16 compliancy will be reported to the applicable
notified body.
9 Bosch Security Systems shall inform the applicable notified body about updates of relevant certificates that belong to
products from suppliers that may be part of an EN54-16 certified Praesideo system. To this end, Bosch Security Systems
shall make agreements with their suppliers to receive the relevant updated certificates, test reports and factory inspection
reports.
