The following table lists many of the troubleshooting issues you may encounter during operation of your Seed Master.

The in pressure gauge reads less
than 1500 psi.
The opener pressure switch is
not turned on.
Opener lock-up ball valves are
closed.
Opener down pressure
adjustment motor does not turn
when the opener pressure
switch is activated.
Faulty wiring up to the opener
solenoid valve on the hydraulic
block.
Faulty wiring up to the opener
down pressure adjustment
motor.
Leaky selector valve at tractor
allowing oil back through opener
up/down circuit.
Faulty opener solenoid valve
electric coil.
Opener solenoid valve cartridge
is contaminated.
Opener relief valve cartridge is
contaminated.
Check the quick couplers on the
red-green circuit; they may be
uncoupled or poorly mated.
Both the main power switch and
the opener pressure switch must
be turned on in order to adjust
opener pressure.
Ensure that both the manifold
ball valve and the quick coupler
ball valve are open; refer to
"Start-up".
Manually dislodge the motor. If
the valve is at the end of its
travel, it will jam; use vise grips
to break it free.
Using a test light, check for
power at the opener solenoid
valve electrical coil.
Using a test light and the opener
pressure switch in the cab
activated, check for power at the
opener pressure adjustment
motor.
Disconnect opener up/down
circuit. If the opener pressure is
now adjustable, have the tractor
selector valve repaired.
Make sure the cartridge is clean.
A properly working solenoid will
have heat build up when left on;
there is an audible "click" when
it is turned on and off.
