2.7. THE STOVE DOOR AND CHANGING
THE OPENING DIRECTION
In KO models, the opening direction is changed by turning the
door upside down. KH models have an elevator door that rises
upwards, making this unnecessary.

Starting:
If the stove has already seen use, open the chimney valve.
As you remove the ash box, you should also remove the ashes
from the fire compartment. Close the chimney valve. Close the
ash door.
Close the stove door. Use the screwdriver to remove one of the
two attachment screws on the hinge plate beneath the door.
Support the door to prevent it from falling. Loosen the other
attachment screw slightly. (Picture 2.7./1.).
Retain a steady grip on the closed door. Open it carefully. Press
the hinge plate downwards by its free end.
Now the door goes down and comes off the upper hinge plate.
Remove the door. Take off the slide washer from the lower
hinge bolt.
Take off the locker’s holding piece and move it to the equi-
valent holes on the other edge. Place the raiser beneath the
holding piece as it was on the other side (Picture 2.7./2.).
Turn the door upside down in your hands.
Lift the lowered end of the hinge plate slightly above the hori-
zontal plane (Picture 2.7./2.).
