Playback Digital Fade
There are various Playback Digital Fade Modes available.
They are the same as the Digital Fade Modes that can be
used for recording (-► 82).
The Playback Digital Fade Modes can be used only when
the TBC Function is activated. Make sure that the [TBC]
Indication is displayed. (-> 60)

During playback, press the [EFFECT/FADE]
Button on the Remote Controller repeatedly to
select [D.FADE] Indication.
•The [D.FADE] Indication appears for about 1 second.
Press the [SELECT] Button on the Remote
Controller repeatedly to select [D.FADE ON]
Indication.
•The [D.FADE ON] Indication appears for about 1
second.
Press the [EFFECT/FADE] Button repeatedly to
select [FADE IN] Indication.
•The [FADE IN] Indication appears for about 1 second.
Press the [SELECT] Button repeatedly to select
the desired digital fade.
•The effect of the Digital Fade change in the same order
as Camera Mode. (-> 84)
Press the [EFFECT/FADE] Button repeatedly to
select [FADE OUT] Indication.
Press the [SELECT] Button repeatedly to select
the desired digital fade.
Press the [FADE COLOUR] Button on the
Remote Controller repeatedly to select the
desired colour.

Cancelling the Playback Digital Fade
Press the [EFFECT/FADE] Button repeatedly to select
[D.FADE ON] Indication and press the [SELECT] Button
repeatedly to select [D.FADE OFF] Indication during
playback.
•The same setting can also be set using the
[FADE SETUP] Sub-Menu on the [VCR FUNCTIONS]
Main-Menu.

• If you set the [CAMERA/OFF/VCR] Switch to [OFF] and
then set it to [VCR] again, the previously selected Playback
Digital Fade is automatically cancelled.
