Adjusting the Shutter Speed
Manually
To achieve special creative effects or to cope with special
lighting situations or fast-action scenes, you can adjust
the shutter manually.
1 Press the [MENU] Button.
The Menu appears.
2 Turn the [PUSH] Dial to select [MODE].
3 Press the [PUSH] Dial to select [MNL].
4 Turn the [PUSH] Dial to select
[SHUTTER].
If you set [PROG.AE] to any setting other than [OFF],
you cannot select [SHUTTER],
5 Press the [PUSH] Dial to select
[SELECT].
6 Turn the [PUSH] Dial to adjust the
shutter speed.
7 Press the [MENU] Button twice to exit
the Menu.
The indication of the selected shutter speed appears.
Range of Shutter Speed Adjustment
1/50-1/8000 s
The standard shutter speed is 1/50 s.
The nearer to [1/8000] a setting you select, the faster the
shutter speed becomes.
Returning to the Normal Shutter Speed
Set [MODE] on the Menu to [AUTO].
