Recording in the Futi Auto Mode
The Full Auto Mode adjusts the white balance and focus
automatically. However if you want, you can also adjust
either one or both of them manually (-►
126,130).

Turn out the [POWER] Switch to turn the
Movie Camera on.
•The [CAMERA] Lamp Q lights.
Confirm that the [AUTO] Indication © is
displayed.
•The initial setting is [AUTO],
• If the [MNL], [
], [¿-3], [,], [g]] or [8'"]
Indication is displayed, press the [PROGRAMME
AE] Button repeatedly until the [AUTO] Indication
appears.
Insert a cassette with an intact erasure
prevention tab.
•The [PAUSE] Indication © appears.
Set [SPEED] on the [MAIN MENU1] Menu to
the desired recording speed ([LP] or [SP]).
•The indication of the selected recording speed
appears.
Press the Recording Start/Stop Button to
start recording.
• Recording starts and the [>i>] Indication and the
[REC] Indication © appears. The Tally Lamp ©
on the front of the Movie Camera remains lit during
recording.
([REC] means Recording.)
Tally Lamp
If you don’t want the Tally Lamp to light during recording,
set [TALLY LAMP] on the [MAIN MENU2] Menu to [OFF].
• During recording, it is not possible to change the
recording mode ([MNL], [ ], [fi*-i], [.], [g]) or
[g''^]), even if you press the [PROGRAMME AE] Button.
