Recording Yourself
(Recording with the LCD Monitor Facing Forward)
This makes it possible to record yourself while viewing
the picture on the LCD Monitor or to show the persons m
front of the Movie Camera tfie picture being recorded.
1 Open the LCD Monitor and turn it so that it
faces forward (lens side).
Opening the LCD Monitor automatically turns off the
Finder. However, when you turn the LCD Monitor
forward, the picture also appears in the Finder.
This lets you aim the Movie Camera and view the
picture in the Finder, while the persons in front of the
Movie Camera can check the picture on the LCD
Monitor during recording.
Mirror Mode
ff you set [SELFSHOOT] on the [CAMERA MENU3]
Menu to [MIRROR], the picture displayed on the LCD
Monitor IS reversed liked a mirror-image. When recording ,
yourself with the LCD Monitor facing forward, the picture
as it IS being recorded might look unusual. {-* 132)
We usually look at ourselves in the mirror and, although
the image we see there is actually reversed rignt and left.
It feels more natural because we are used to it. This
Movie Camera features the Mirror Mode which displays
the picture as a mirror-image.
However, even if you have selected the Mirror Mode, the
picture IS recorded m the normal way.
• In the Mirror Mode, only the following indications are
displayed.
•: Recording
• II: Recording Pause
Remaining Battery Power
When the General Warning/Alarm indication [T] appears,
turn the LCD Monitor backward so that you can confirm
the actual Warning/Alarm Indication.
