The 3 Types of Power Supplies
1) AC Adaptor (supplied) to supply power from an AC
mams socket
2) Car Adaptor Cord (optional) to supply power from a
Cigarette Lighter Socket
3) Battery (supplied) (-► 18)
Supplying Power from an AC Mains Socket
Hook your finger on the protruding edge O
of the Finder, slide the Finder backward to
its fully extended position and then tilt it
upward.
Do not pul! on the Eyecup to extend the Finder.
Insert the battery-shaped connector of the
DC Input Cable as shown above into the
Battery Holder on the Movie Camera and
slide it downward until it locks with a click.
Connect the other end of the DC Input
Cable to the AC Adaptor.
Connect the AC Mains Cable to the AC
Adaptor.
Connect the other end of the AC Mains
Cable to an AC mains socket.

• Before disconnecting the AC Mams Cable, set the
[POWER] Switch on the Movie Camera to [OFF],
• If you use the Movie Camera for a long time, it becomes
warm. However, this is normal.
■ Supplying Power from the Cigarette Lighter
Socket in a Car
The use of the Car Adaptor Cord (VW-KA7E; optional)
together with the AC Adaptor makes it possible to supply
power to the Movie Camera in a car for recording and
playback. It also allows charging the Movie Camera’s
Battery.
• After use, be sure to disconnect the Car Adaptor Cord
from the Cigarette Lighter Socket.
• Be sure to start the car engine before you connect the
Car Adaptor Cord, otherwise the fuse may blow.
• Also read the operating instructions of the Car Adaptor
Cord.
