The proper function of the appliance and effective
cleaning can only be guaranteed if Original THOMAS
cleaning agent is used.
7.0 In the event of a fault
In the unlikely event that your THOMAS TWIN AQUAFILTER does not function satisfactorily, use the following list to
check whether the fault is due to a minor cause before contacting the Customer Service.
Faults occurring / malfunctions

¼ The appliance won’t start
Vacuuming (dry vacuuming)
¼ Dust escaping from suction socket
¼ Suction power too low
¼ Build-up of water on the inside of the
casing cover
Spray extraction
¼ Sudden reduction in suction power
– Is there damage to the mains cable, plug or socket?
➔ Pull out the plug before checking, if necessary have repairs carried
out by an authorised customer service station only
– Is the appliance switched on (switch 14)?
➔ check

Has the AQUAFILTER system been fitted in accordance with the
operating instructions?
➔ (section 4.0 Dry vacuuming)

Is there enough water in the dirty–water container and is the suction
filter (44) completely submerged in the water bath?
➔ check
– Is the suction filter dirty or is the Aqua injection nozzle in the air intake
fitting clogged up?
➔ disassemble and clean / rinse with water.
– Is the Aqua injection nozzle in the air intake fitting clogged up?

disassemble and clean / rinse with water.
– Is the HEPA filter clogged up?
➔ section 4.2 Cleaning the HEPA filter.
– Is the nozzle, suction pipe or suction hose blocked with coarse dirt?

stretching the hose while the appliance is switched on will loosen the
blockage so that it can be removed.
– Has the casing cover been closed properly?
➔ check
– The AQUAFILTER system probably contains too much dust

– Is the dirty-water container full (float has reacted)?

– Is the appliance standing at a slant (float has reacted)?
