L Attach the cleaning agent hose (32) with a quick-
action coupling (64) to the cut-out valve (25) and
lock by turning. Secure the cleaning agent hose
(32) to the suction pipe (34) with the 2 smaller
plastic fasteners (40).
J Pull the mains cable (63) out of the appliance and
plug it in.
Cleaning carpets
B Switch on the appliance using the on/off switch
(14). Switch on the cleaning agent pump using the
illuminated switch (13).
L Press the cut-out valve lever (25) until the cleaning
solution comes out and slowly pull the nozzle
touching the carpet in a straight line over the
carpet. At the end of a line or if the operation
is interrupted, let go of the valve lever to stop
the spray. When the sprayed liquid has been
vacuumed up, lift the nozzle and begin a new line,
slightly overlapping the previous one. The entire
floor surface can be completed in this way, line by
line.
If there are still traces of liquid left on the cleaned
lines, these areas can be vacuumed again without
using the spray.
Please ensure that the suction regulator is
completely closed (29, illus. C).
For heavily soiled areas, you can apply cleaning
liquid during the forward movement of the carpet
spray nozzle. Also, by lifting the carpet spray
nozzle (spray only) slightly, these areas can be
pre-treated.
Ensure that you do not spread too much liquid
about, because this could create waves or bumps
in the carpet, which would take a lot longer to dry
and disappear.
If the operation is interrupted, you should hold
the suction pipe and hose up at an angle for a
few seconds while the motor is running in order
to prevent the liquid left in the suction pipe from
running back. Then switch off the appliance.
Emptying the dirty-water container
Note!
To prevent the appliance from cutting out automatically,
empty the dirty-water container when a full tank of
cleaning solution has been used up from the fresh-
water tank.
B If the advice above is not followed, the float (59,
illus. F) in the dirty-water coniner will automatically
stop the suction when the dirty-water container is
full (you will be able to hear the motor speed up).
Switch off the appliance and pull out the mains
plug.
I Open the casing cover and lift the dirty-water
container (24) out of the appliance using the strap
and empty. Clear obvious impurities and fluff
from the dirty-water container (24) incl. the float,
anti-slosh insert (22) and wet filter (23) after
emptying and before restarting the appliance.
Remove impurities and fluff from the AQUA spray
nozzle (10, illus. G).
H Dry off spray from the inlet chamber (58) and the
inside of the casing cover with a soft cloth.
Cleaning hard floor surfaces
M Slide the hard floor surface adapter (31) onto the
carpet spray nozzle (30).
You can use this system to clean your hard floor
surfaces and also to dry them in the same process.

For cleaning hard floor surfaces, we recommend the
ProFloor cleaning concentrate (see section 6.0)
Cleaning upholstery
N For cleaning upholstered furniture, car seats or the
like, use the upholstery spray nozzle (38). Slide this
onto the handle (29) and the cut-out valve (25).
Connect up the cleaning agent hose (66) to the
shut-off valve and to the nozzle.
With upholstery make sure that you do not
apply too much liquid as it takes longer to dry,
depending on the framework.

You can purchase more cleaning concentrate
from your dealer or from THOMAS Service (see section
6.0).
To ensure perfect results, always use the original
concentrate.
