■ Picture-in-Picture Function
This function lets you display a small still picture inside the
norma! playback picture.
The Playback Picture-in-Picture Function can be used only
when the TBC Function is activated. Make sure that the [TBC]
Indication is displayed. (-► 64)
Set the Picture-in-Picture Mode before performing the
following steps. (-^ 138)
•The [P IN P] Indication appears.
1 During playback, press the [MULTI] Button at
the scene that you want to capture as a small
still picture.
•A small picture appears inside the normal picture.
Erasing the Small Picture
Press the [MULTI] Button.
If you press the [MULTI] Button again, another small picture is
displayed.
Cancelling the Picture-in-Picture Mode
Set [EFFECT1] on the [DIGITAL EFFECT] Sub-Menu to
[OFF].
• The small picture is displayed with slightly inferior picture
quality compared to that of normal moving pictures.
• If you press the [MULTI] Button during playback, slight
picture noise may occur.
•When a small still picture is displayed, it is not possible
apply the Sepia or Black & White Mode to the small picture,
although their indications might appear.
