iNTENDED USE

ARAG pressure-relief device protects the hydraulic circuits of the spraying machines against over-

pressures that exceed the nominal pressure of the system by up to 20%.

The excess liquid is drained into the tank.

SaFETY rEGULaTioNS

ARAG cannot be held responsible for direct or indirect damage as a result of the types of

liquids used for crop spraying.

The use of these substances is the sole responsibility of the operator who must therefore

check the safety instructions for the liquid given by the manufacturer on the packaging

and must wear suitable personal safety devices (gloves, overalls, boots, helmet, etc.) in

compliance with the law.

ARAG shall therefore not be held responsible for any accidents or harm to persons, ani-

mals or things as a consequence of improper, unprotected or non-recommended use of the

products used.

iNSTaLLaTioN

- Before installing the pressure-relief device make sure that the system complies with safety regu-

lations dictated by the laws in force in the country where installation is carried out.

- Fit the pressure-relief device to the pump delivery circuit using the threaded fitting (F in Fig. 1)

and connect it to the return circuit in the tank using the non-threaded pipe union (D in Fig. 1).

- To drain into the tank fit pipes with a nominal use pressure that is higher than the discharge

pressure itself (minimum pressure 15 bars).

- Make sure that the diameters of the pipes used for the connections are suitable for the device

drain outlet (D in Fig. 1) and that they are not obstructed in any way as this could cause anomalous

excess pressure.

- Use suitable devices for clamping the pipes.

USE

- For sealing the thread (F in Fig. 1) only use non-sintered PTFE tape.

- The device doesn’t need to be rearmed after an overpressure has occurred: in this case stop the

system, remove the cause of the anomaly and then start up again.

- At very low temperatures, empty the circuit to avoid breakage due to freezing of the liquid in the

circuit.

maiNTENaNCE

- The pressure-relief device can not be repaired: this means that, in case of malfunction, the unit

shall be changed.

- DO NOT REMOVE THE RED SEAL FROM THE DEVICE.

- After each use flush out the circuit with clean water.

- Check correct operation of the device by bringing the pressure up to the limit indicated in the

“Technical data” table (Tab. 1) every 6 months.
