How to Use the Super Image
Stabilizer Function
This function is especially practical for the following
recording situations:
1. Zooming in on a distant subject.
2. Recording while walking.
3. Recording from inside a moving car.

Press the [DIGITAL] Button repeatedly
until the “ ® ” Indication is lit.
• The Super Image Stabilizer Indication “ and
the “D.ZOOM” Indication appear on the LCD
Monitor.
In the Following Recording Conditions, the Picture
Stabilizing Effect May Not Be Sufficient:
• A subject with horizontal or vertical stripes
• A flat subject
•A dark subject
(In this case, the Super Image Stabilizer Indication
i;” flashes on the LCD Monitor. Increase the amount
of light.)
•A subject under many fluorescent lamps
•A fast-moving subject
•A subject with a flat background
■ To Cancel the Super Image Stabilizer Function
Press the [DIGITAL] Button repeatedly until none of the
6 indications is lit any more.
Notes:
1. When you use the Super Image Stabilizer Function,
the shutter speed is automatically adjusted to 1/125 s.
2. Cancelling the Super Image Stabilizer Function also
resets the shutter speed to 1/50 s. Flowever, after
selecting the Sports Mode or the Portrait Mode,
cancelling the Super Image Stabilizer Function does
not reset the shutter speed to 1/50 s.
