Precautions for the Battery Pack
■ Cautions for Use
To prevent leakage, excessive rise in temperature and explosion,
be sure to observe the following points:
1. Use only the specified AC Adaptor or the optional Car Battery
Charger to charge the Battery Pack.
When the operation time even after proper charging is too
short for normal use, the service life of the Battery Pack has
reached its end. (It can be charged approx. 200 times.)
2. Make sure that no metal objects touch (short-circuit) the
connectors of the Battery Pack. (When carrying it in a bag or
similar, take care that keys, coins, etc. do not come in contact
with it.)
3. Do not heat the Battery Pack or throw it into a fire.
4. Do not apply solder to the Battery Pack and do not
disassemble or reconstruct it.
5. Always make sure that the contacts are clean.
6. If the Battery Pack becomes too warm, a protection function is
activated and it puts the Battery Pack temporarily out of
operation.
7. If the Movie Camera has turned off automatically because the
Battery Pack has become exhausted, remove the Battery
Pack before connecting the DC Input Cable of the AC Adaptor
to the Movie Camera to continue recording, otherwise the
Movie Camera cannot be turned on.
8. When the Battery Pack is not used, store it in a cool and dry
place.
9. Do not dispose of the exhausted Battery Pack with your
household waste. When purchasing a new Battery Pack,
return the old Battery Pack to your dealer tor environmentally
correct disposal.

■ Cautions for Use
• Before connecting the AC Adaptor to an AC mains socket,
confirm that the local AC mains voltage and frequency are within
the voltage and frequency range specified on the rating plate.
• Do not use it for any purpose other than supplying the Movie
Camera with power and charging the Battery Pack.
• Do not operate it very close to the Movie Camera or a radio, TV
etc.
•When unplugging the AC Mains Cable, pull it by the plug, not by
the cable.
• Do not bend the cables excessively.
• Do not expose the cables to high temperature and chemicals.
• Do not handle the AC Adaptor with wet hands.
• Before cleaning the AC Adaptor, make sure that it is
disconnected from the AC mains socket.
