Using with Digitai Video Equipment
(Recording)
If you connect this Movie Camera with other Digital Video
equipment (for example another Movie Camera of the
same type) equipped with DV Input/Output Teminal
(i.LINK) using the DV Cable VW-CD1 E (optional), you
can dub high-quality picture and sound in the digital
format.
1 [Playback Unit]
Insert the recorded cassette and press the [VCR/
CAMERA] Button so that the [VCR] Lamp lights.
2 [Recording Unit]
Insert a cassette onto which you want to
perform dubbing and press the [VCR/CAMERA]
Button so that the [VCR] Lamp lights.
3 [Playback Unit]
Press the Playback Button [►] to start palyack.
4 [Recording Unit]
While pressing the [REC] Button, press the
[PLAY] Button (both on the Remote Controller).
Recording starts.
Stopping Recording
Press the Pause Button [
recording.
I] or the Stop Button [■] to stop

• Regardless of the setting for [AUDIO REC] on the Menu
of the recording unit, dubbing is performed in the same
audio recording mode as that of the cassette in the
playback unit.
•The lower part of the picture may be distorted. However,
this is not a malfunction and does not affect the actual
recording.
• If you start dubbing without connecting the DV Cable, an
Error Message appears, and a random picture may be
recorded for a short moment.
• If the playback unit plays back an unrecorded part of the
tape, a random picture is recorded.
