Emphasizing the bass
sound
(SOUND)
You can emphasize the bass-boosted sound.
Press SOUND/AVLS to select
“SOUND 1” or “SOUND 2.”
No indication
(Normal play)
“SOUND 1”
“SOUND 2”
The selected sound mode is displayed.
“SOUND 2” enhances the bass sound more
than “SOUND 1.”
Note
If the sound is distorted when using the SOUND
function, turn down the volume.
Checking information
on a CD with
ATRAC3plus/ATRAC3/
MP3 files
You can check information on a CD with
ATRAC3plus/ATRAC3/MP3 files using
DISPLAY/
.
You can also check ID3 tag information if
the file has that information stored.
Each time you press DISPLAY/ , the
display changes as follows:

File name *1 and elapsed playing time

Artist name *2 , CODEC information* 3 and
remaining time of the current file
r
Group name *4
*1 If the file has ID3 tag information, a title
appears.
*2 If the file does not have ID3 tag information,
“- - - -” appears.
*3 Bit rate and sampling frequencies appear.
*4 If the file has ID3 tag information, an album
name appears.
