5.6. ADJUSTING COMBUSTION AND POWER OF
THE INSERT
Power of the insert can be adjusted in three ways:
1) by regulating the draught in the chimney. By means

of the damper in the chimney, the draught can, if
necessary, decreased so that the flames cannot
enter the chimney, which makes it possible to
regulate the fireplace more easily by means of the
air flow regulator located under the door. Watch
out for carbon monoxide !!!

2) by means of the adjustable fire-grate (not available

for models TS-12 and -21). The grate open: intense
combustion, the grate closed: low combustion. The
intensity of combustion can be increased by
opening the ash box.
On models TS-12 ja 21 there is a knob below the
door for regulating the primary air (for full air flow
turn the knob to the right).

3) by changing the quantity or quality of wood. Usually

there is no need to burn more than 4 billets of
firewood at the same time
, irrespective of their
size. Thick billets, of course, will burn for a longer
time. On the other hand, dry wood releases heat
more and more quickly than moist wood. Very dry
firewood must be burnt carefully - its
momentary power is very high!
A firewood of good quality gives up heat much more
efficiently than, for example rotten or wet wood.

The smoke damper must not be closed, if there is
fire or embers in the fireplace insert. Risk of
inhaling carbonmonoxide!!!

5.7. GLASS DOORS - USE AND MAINTENANCE
The glasses must be cleaned when they are cold, using
a suitable cleaning agent. Although the doors are made
of special glass, handle them with care (avoid impacts
on the doors and do not slam the doors etc.).
Do not turn the doors too much in their opening
direction
- it can damage the hinges, wrench the door
in a wrong position and brake the glass.
