Cleaning upholstery

X

Use the upholstery spray nozzle (20) to clean
upholstered furniture, car seats, etc. Push the
nozzle onto the handle (11) and shut-off valve
(17). Fasten the detergent hose to the shut-off
valve by rotating the coupling (39).
When cleaning upholstery, be careful not to
apply too much liquid, as a longer drying time
may then be necessary, depending on the
supporting structure.

Cleaning procedure

U Cold-washing can immediately be started by

operating the control knob (7) to the spray-
extraction symbol. For hot-washing additionally
start heating on heating-switch (6). Hot water now
escapes on the spray-nozzle.

T

Press the lever of the shut-off valve (40) until
detergent liquid comes out and then pull the
nozzle resting on the floor in straight lengths
across the floor. At the end of a length of floor or
during work interruptions, release the valve lever
in order to stop the sprayed jet of liquid. When
the spray-on liquid has been extracted, lift up the
nozzle and start a new length by slightly
overlapping onto the previous length.
Should traces of liquid remain on the cleaned
strips, these can be extracted without spraying the
areas concerned again.
Please make sure that the suction force regulator
is set to full power.
Spray especially on very dirt spots and allow
cleaning detergent to react for some minutes.
Do not apply too much liquid, as this may cause
ripples or bulges in the carpet, which will
disappear only after a prolonged drying process.
To prevent the liquid in the suction pipe from
running out during breaks in work, you should
hold the suction tube and hose at an upwardly
inclined angle for a few seconds while the motor
is still running. Then switch off the appliance.
Attention!
Your SUPER 30S AQUATHERM is equipped with
an overpressure safety device during heating
operation.
Should this safety device put into operation
(water drops/steam escapes from the appliance
laterally from underneath the motor head)
immediately disconnect the appliance and send it
to a THOMAS customer service.

Pull out the plug.

R

Before removing the motor block (2), detach the
delivery tube (19).
Attention: After working with hot water the
coupling (5) gets hot.

A Remove the vacuum cleaner's motor head (2)

and place onto shallow container to avoid getting
the intended surface dirty from residual water.

B

Take out the extraction liquid tank (28) and
empty. (Any unused cleaning solution can be
stored in a suitable receptacle.) Empty the
collecting bin (1) and wash out thoroughly.

O Care for the pump and valves by filling the

extraction liquid tank with clear water, putting it
in the collecting bin and replacing the motor
block (2).
Operate the spray-system on a smooth floor or
over the sink.
Subsequently, clean both receptacles and leave
the dismantled parts to dry thoroughly.

Care and maintenance

Always pull out the plug before cleaning the appliance!
Never immerse the motor block in water!
Clean the motor block casing and collecting bin with a
moist cloth and wipe dry.
If there is a reduction in suction power, change the
paper filter.
If necessary, the collecting bin can be washed out with
water. Ensure that the bin is completely dry before
using again.
Rinse out the collecting bin and all accessories used with
warm, soapy water after wet vacuuming (particularly
sticky liquids). Do not use abrasive cleaning agents!
