This new c onc ept of ic e c ontainer is an exc lusive
Merloni patent. The fac t that they are situated on the
inner door of the freezer c om partm ent ensures greater
ergonom ic s and c leanliness: the ic e no longer c om es
into c ontac t with the food plac ed inside the freezer
c om partm ent; furtherm ore, the dripping of the water
during filling is avoided (a lid to c over up the hole after

For the preparation of food to be frozen, please con-
sult a specialized manual.
- Food that has be thawed, even partially, m ust not be
re-frozen: you m ust c ook it in order to c onsum e it (within
24 hours) or to freeze it onc e again.
- When freezing fresh foods, rem em ber that they should
not touc h other previously frozen or deep frozen foods.
Plac e the food that you wish to freeze in the top c om -
partm ent where the tem perature will fall below -18°C,
whic h is ideal for freezing food properly. Rem em ber that
proper c onservation depends on the speed of freezing.
- During the freezing proc ess, avoid opening the door of
the freezer.
- Freeze only the quantities (in kg) shown on the data
plate situated inside the refrigerator c om partm ent.
- For the best c onservation and defrosting, rem em ber to
freeze sm all portions; this will ensure rapid and uniform
freezing. Mark pac kage with a desc ription of the c on-
tents and the date it was frozen.
- In the c ase of power failure or breakdown, do not
open the freezer door. This will help m aintain the tem -
perature inside the freezer ensuring that foods are c on-
served for at least 17 hours.
- Do not store full bottles in the freezer sinc e they c ould
explode when they freeze. (Rem em ber that liquids in-
c rease in volum e when frozen).

-If the room tem perature rem ains below 14°C for an ex-
tended period of tim e the freezer will not reac h the tem -
peratures required for storage, and storage life will be
shorter. In this c ase, frozen foodstuffs should be used within a
relatively short period of tim e.
In order to freeze and then thaw foods optim ally, it is rec -
om m ended that you divide food into sm all portions so that
they freeze quic kly and uniform ly. The pac kages should be
c learly m arked with the c ontent and the date they were
frozen.
If it is required to store a large quantity of foodstuff, you m ay
easily take out c entral drawer, and plac e the food direc tly
onto the evaporator plate. Make sure that, after having in-
serted the load, the door c loses c orrec tly.
Super Mode: this m ode assures c ontinuous c om pressor op-
eration up to ac hievem ent of low tem peratures, nec essary
for quic k food freezing. After food freezing, the applianc e
should be switc hed over to a norm al operation m ode.
In order to frost som e quantity of fresh produc e/food (no
m ore than half of the m aximum pointed out on the door-
plate/ nam e board inside your refrigerator), put the produc e
in the evaporator/freezing sec tion (* * * * ) and switc h on
m ode of operation “Super” for 24 hours.
In order to frost m axim um (for your refrigerator) quantity of
fresh produc e you should switc h on m ode of operation “Su-
per
” 24 hours before produc e laying. Put the produc e in the
evaporator/freezing sec tion (* * * * ) and switc h off m ode of
operation “Super” in 24 hours.

To rem ove the c ontainer from they housing, push the
c ontainer upwards and then pull it out. To put the c on-
tainer bac k in plac e, insert the top part into the spec ial
housing and, onc e in a vertic al position, just let it drop
into plac e.

Instructions for use
Fill up the c ontainer with water via the spec ial hole up to the
level indic ated (MAX WATER LEVEL), taking c are not to ex-
c eed it: inserting m ore water than is nec essary will lead to
the form ation of ic e whic h c ould obstruc t the exit of the ic e
c ubes. If you have used an exc essive am ount of water, you
will have to wait until the ic e has m elted, em pty out the c on-
tainer and re-fill it with water.
Onc e you have filled the ic e c ontainer up with water
through the hole indic ated, turn it by 90º . Thanks to the c on-
nec ted c om partm ents, the water fills up with the spec ial
c ap and plac es the ic e c ontainer in the inner door of the
freezer c om partm ent.
Onc e the ic e has form ed, all you need to do is to knoc k the
c ontainer against a hard surfac e so that the ic e c ubes
c om e away from their housing and c om e out of the sam e
hole used to fill the c ontainer with water. To m ake it easier for
the ic e c ubes to c om e out, wet the outside of the c ontainer.
WARNING: every tim e you fill up the ic e c ontainer with wa-
ter, m ake sure that the sam e is c om pletely em pty and that
there are no trac es of ic e left inside it.
The m inim um tim e required for ic e to form well is approxi-
m ately 8 hours.
