3.3.2. Detachment and installation of combustion chamber insulation and flame

regulation plate

The combustion chamber's insulation plates can be replaced when necessary.

Detaching and attaching the insulation:

The flame regulation plate comes off by lifting and turning it. (Detach for chimney sweeping). (Picture

The front and rear side insulation plates come off by moving them past the front restrainers.

(Picture 5)

After this, the rear wall insulation can be taken off.

Replacement:

Place rear wall insulation against rear wall.

Place side insulation upright behind the restrainers at the front of the chamber.

Insert flame regulation plate aslant first on top of the ears high at the front sides and then against the

upper edge of the rear nozzles.

3.3.3. The fireplace and its surroundings

Maintenance on the fireplace is performed once it has cooled. Wipe off the dust regularly and when

necessary wipe the surfaces with a rag dipped in mild soap water (e.g. dish washing liquid + water).

Dry with a dry rag.

The paint on the steel parts can be fixed with a heat resistant spray paint (available from the

manufacturer).

Make sure the fireplace is cold before you paint it.

Keep an eye on the door's seals to prevent air leakages that might inhibit the burn process.

Wipe the dust off the fireplace's base and surroundings regularly.

3.3.4. Ash removal and chimney sweeping

Let the fireplace and ashes cool down before you remove the ashes.

Use a metal container, preferably with lid and store the ashes safely before you dispose of them.

Avoid fire hazard – make sure that the ashes are cold before you empty the container.

Remove the ashes once the layer has reached a thickness of about 2 cm. Close all devices that might

cause low air pressure outside the fireplace (e.g. exhaust air removers and range hoods). Ensure that

the damper plate is closed when there is low air pressure in the room. The damper plate may remain

open during ash removal to prevent ash being blown into the room.

The fireplace has an ash box. The ash falls through the grate into the ash box, which is emptied when

it gets full.

When the fireplace is used according to instructions, there is little need for chimney sweeping. The

normal schedule is once a year.

The grate must be cleaned when the ash is removed.

The grate can be removed by lifting. During re-installing, remember to slip the grate's peg through the

regulator's loop.

For fire safety reasons it is important to keep an eye on the soot accumulation in fireplace and

chimney.

The flame regulation and side insulation plates must be removed during chimney sweeping.

The chimney is swept in the usual manner and the furnace walls are brushed clean with a steel brush

or something similar.

If the chimney has been connected to the top of the fireplace, the soot falls into it and is removed in

the same way as the ashes.

After the sweeping, the flame regulation plate is reinstalled.
