7 Using your full weight push
the child restraint firmly
into the vehicle seat, while
pulling up on the LATCH
harness to tighten.
The LATCH harness must
be as tight as possible.
If you can move the child
restraint more than 1 inch
(25 mm) forward or side-to-
side at the belt path
 , the
LATCH harness is not tight
enough. You will need to
try again, or find another
location for your child re-
straint.

Refer to your vehicle owner’s manual to locate the
lower anchors on your vehicle seat.
Attach the left hook
, or clip
, to the left anchor  ,
and the right hook to the right anchor. DOUBLE
CHECK that each LATCH hook or clip is fully engaged
by pulling hard on the LATCH harness.

Make sure that when you connect a Quick Connector™
clip to an anchor, the word “SafeGuard
™ ” is always
facing out and in the upright position, as shown above.

Pull the end of the strap to tighten
Remove all slack in the strap.
• To avoid a strangulation hazard, you MUST tightly roll
or fold excess tether strap and secure with the strap/
rubber band.
• Attach the tether hook to the storage clip when not in
use. This will keep an unused tether from hitting some-
one during a crash.
WARNING

After adjusting the top tether strap, you may have
excess strap;
DO NOT cut it off. If you do, it may not
be long enough to use in another vehicle.
Instead, tightly roll up the excess tether strap and
place the rubber band around the bundle.
WARNING
• Failure to follow these instructions could result in
serious injury to your child or other vehicle
occupants.
• The tether strap is for forward-facing use only.
NOTE: Refer to your vehicle owner’s manual for the
location of the tether anchor bracket in your vehicle.
Older vehicles may not come equipped with anchor
bracket hardware. Check with your vehicle dealer.

are not addressed by the vehicle owner’s manual, or
answered by an authorized dealer/vehicle manufacturer

инструкцией к автомобилю. Закрепите левый крюк А или
зажим В за левую скобу G, правый – за правую. Тщательно
проверьте фиксацию ремня, с силой потянув за него.

Проверьте установку зажимов. При правильной установке
слово SafeGuard должно смотреть наружу и вверх, как пока-
зано на рисунке.
Во время закрепления кресла
с помощью системы ISOFIX,
надавите на него всем своим
весом, одновременно натяги-
вая ремень.
Ремень ISOFIX должен быть
натянут как можно сильнее.
Если вы в состоянии сдви-
нуть кресло более чем на 25
мм вперед или в стороны по
направлению натяжения ремня
Н, ремень затянут недостаточ-
но сильно, и надо попробовать
затянуть его еще раз или же
выбрать другое место для
установки кресла.
Закрепите крюк I страховочного ремня
за верхнюю скобу J автомобильного
сиденья. Натяните ремень, потянув за
свободный конец K. Ремень должен быть
туго натянут.
Всегда надежно закрепляйте или сматывайте свобод-
ный конец страховочного ремня, чтобы он не задушил
ребенка.
Когда страховочный ремень не используется, необхо-
димо закрепить крюк за скобу в задней части кресла,
чтобы он не поранил кого-либо в случае аварии.
После регулировки длины ремня не отрезайте получивший-
ся излишек. В противном случае длины ремня может не
хватить при установке в другой автомобиль. Рекомендуется
плотно скатать вытянутый ремень и закрепить его резинкой.
Проверьте по инструкции к автомобилю расположение
верхних фиксирующих скоб. В автомобилях более старых
моделей скобы могут отсутствовать.
