CHAPTER 1. GETTING STARTED
BATTERY FITTING
The Translator uses 2×AAA batt eries for power supply. The ac-
tual service life depends on the use of batt eries.
Frequently using of keytone, voice-translati ng reduces the bat-
tery life. To extend the batt ery life user can adjust the auto-
mati c power off . We recommend keeping the following steps:
• Replace the 2×AAA batteries supplied with the unit not
longer than 3 months after purchasing.
• Be sure that the positive and negative poles of each battery
are facing the proper direction.
• Never mix batteries of different types.
• Never mix old batteries and new ones.
• Never leave dead batteries in the battery compartment: to
avoid outflow liquid that could damage the dictionary chips.
Replacing the batt ery
a) Turn off the machine.
b) Slide off the batt ery door according the directi on indicated
by the arrow. The batt ery door joints the translator case.
c) Remove the old batt eries and install 2×AAA batt eries in the
correct polarity corresponding to the symbol indicated inside
the batt ery compartment.
d) Make sure that the batt eries make a good contact with the
metal plates.
e) Cover the batt ery door.
