CHAPTER 4. SETTINGS
Press [TOOLS] → System setup → [ENTER] under the menu of
Setup to adjust the basic setti
ngs of the Translator. The Setup
menu will show up:
1. Menu Language
2. Volume
3. Shut off ti me
4. Backlight
5. Contrast
6. Keytone
7. Pop up Setup
8. Restore.
To select the setti
ng item move cursor to the correspond-
ing positi on with help of arrows [↑] and [↓] and press key
[ENTER] or just press key with a number corresponding to setti
ng.
MENU LANGUAGE
Menu language determines the language used when display-
ing menu items, prompts and other informati on. Highlight the
desired language (Russian or English) using arrow keys and
press [ENTER].
VOLUME SETUP
Volume allows you to adjust the rate of speech for all pronun-
ciati on as well as the playback volume. Press [↑] and [↓]to
move the pointer between Speech rate and Volume setup.
Press [↑] and [↓] to adjust required level and press [ENTER].
SHUT OFF TIME
The device has a shut-off -ti me opti on realised aft er a certain
period of ti me if no key is pressed. You can set the shut-off -
ti me from 1-15 min:
1) Enter the Shut off ti me menu
Note: The shut-off -ti me in minutes is shown at the upper line (it is 3 min
by default).
2) Press key [→] to increase ti me interval or key [←]–to de-
crease.
