For lower gas consumption and
better efficiency, use only flat-
bottomed pans of dimensions
suitable for the burners, as shown
in the table on the right.Also, as
soon as a liquid comes to the boil
take care to turn the flame down
to a level that will just keep it boi-
ling.

During cooking processes involving fats or oils, watch your foods carefully
because these substances may catch fire if brought to high temperatures.

Stainless steel may become discoloured if overheated. Prolonged cooking
with ollar stones, earthenware pots or cast iron plates is therefore not
recommended. The use of aluminium foil to protect the hob when in
operation is also forbidden.

Ensure that pans do not protrude beyond the edges of the hob and are
placed in the centres of the burners to reduce gas consumption.

Do not place unstable or misshapen pans on the burners; they might tip
over or spill their contents, causing accidents.
Pans must not project into the control zone.
