 Alwaysusethesaltintendedforusewithdishwasher.
 Thesaltcontainerislocatedbeneaththelowerbasketandshouldbefilledas
explainedinthefollowing:
• Onlyusesaltspecificallydesignedfortheuseindishwashers!Everyother
typeofsaltnotspecificallydesignedfortheuseinadishwasher,especially
tablesalt,willdamagethewatersoftener.Incaseofdamagescausedby
theuseofunsuitablesaltthemanufacturerdoesnotgiveanywarrantynor
isliableforanydamagescaused.
• Onlyfillwithsaltjustbeforestartingoneofthecompletewashingprograms.
Thiswillpreventanygrainsofsaltorsaltywater,whichmayhavebeenspilled,
remainingonthebottomofthemachineforanyperiodoftime,whichmay
causecorrosion.

A. Remove the lower basket and then unscrew
and remove the cap from the salt container
(Fig.1).
B. Beforethefirstwash,fill1Lofwaterinthesalt
containerofyourmachine.
C. Placetheendofthefunnel(supplied)intothe
holeandintroduceabout1kgofsalt.Itisnor-
malforasmallamountofwatertocomeoutof
thesaltcontainer(Fig2).
D. Afterfillingthecontainer,screwthecaptightly
backclockwise.
E. Usually,thesaltwarninglightwillstopbeingillu-
minatedwithin2-6daysafterthesaltcontainer
hasbeenfilledwithsalt.
F. Immediately after filling the salt into the salt
container,awashingprogramshouldbestart-
ed(Wesuggesttousethesoakorrapidprogram).Otherwisethefiltersys-
tem,pumporotherimportantpartsofthemachinemaybedamagedby
saltywater.Thisisoutofwarranty.

1. The saltcontainer must only be refilled when the saltwarning light in the
controlpanelcomeson.
 Dependingonhowwellthesaltdissolves,thesaltwarninglightmaystillbe
oneventhoughthesaltcontainerisfilled.
 Ifthereisnosaltwarninglightinthecontrolpanel(forsomeModels),you
canestimatewhentofillthesaltintothesoftenerbythecyclesthatthedish-
washerhasrun.
