external A/V input function: external A/V input function:
This unit has an external A/V (audio/video) input feature. It supports SCART, COMPOSITE,
S-VIDEO and COMPONENT modes. Use any audio, video, SCART cable and S-VIDEO cable to
connect the unit to the external A/V signal source such as a DVD recorder, camcorder, satel-
lite receiver or gaming device, etc. Turn on the unit and the external A/V signal source power;
press the “SOURCE” button to shift to the corresponding mode: SCART, COMPOSITE, S-VIDEO
or COMPONENT, then proceed to the set up the menu under that specifi c mode for further
setup options.

The TFT (thin fi lm transistor) LCD (liquid crystal display) screen of this unit can be used as
a computer monitor as well. Follow the steps of connecting the unit to the PC as described
earlier in this manual and then use the set up the menu to determine the appropriate resolu-
tion settings.

Although several resolution settings are possible, please set your PC’s display resolution
at 1280 x 768@60Hz for best performance. Also, setting your PC’s resolution control can
vary due to operating system, PC brand, etc. Please consult your PC’s owners guide or the PC
maker for information on how to change your display resolution settings to match this device.
The operations of these menus in SCART, COMPOSITE, S-VIDEO, COMPONENT and VGA modes
are the same with those in the TV mode. Please refer to the information in “TV functions”.
