Adjusting the LCD Monitor
When the picture on the LCD Monitor cannot be seen
clearly under certain lighting conditions, you can adjust
the brightness and colour level on the Menu.

Press the [LCD SET] Button.
The [LCD SET MENU] Menu appears and the
following items are displayed:
LCD Brightness [BRIGHTNESS]
To adjust the brightness of the picture on the LCD
screen.
LCD Colur Level [COLOUR LEVEL]
To adjust the colour saturation of the picture on the LCD
screen.
•When you display the title created with the Digital
Superimposer Function by pressing the [OFF/ON]
Button (-► 124), you cannot display the [LCD SET
MENU] Menu even if you press the [LCD SET] Button.
In this case, press the [OFF/ON] Button again to make
the title disappear and then press the [LCD SET]
Button. (During playback, if you press the [LCD SET]
Button but the [LCD SET MENU] Menu does not
appear, first stop the playback and then press the [OFF/
ON] Button to make the title disappear.)

Press the [ITEM] Button to select the item
that you want to adjust.

Press the [◄◄] or [ ►►] Button to adjust
the number of vertical bars.
The Bar Indication is divided into 8 steps. The more
vertical bars are shown, the stronger is the
brightness or colour saturation.

Press the [LCD SET] Button to exit the
[LCD SET MENU] Menu.
•These adjustments have no influence on the actually
recorded picture.
■ Adjusting the Angle of the LCD Monitor
The LCD Monitor rotates upward a maximum of 180° ®
and downward a maximum of 90° (2) from its normal
vertical position. Trying to forcefully rotate it beyond this

range could seriously damage the Movie Camera.
