HANDLING THE REMOTE CONTROLLER

Location of the remote controller

Keep the remote controller where its signals
can reach the receiver of the indoor unit, (a
distance of 8 m is allowed.)

CAUTIONS

The air conditioner will not operate if cur
tains, doors or anything else block the signals
from the remote controller to the indoor unit

Prevent any liquid from falling into the
remote controller. Do not expose the remote
controller to direct sunlight or heat.

If the infrared signal receiver on the indoor
unit is exposed to direct sunlight, the air con
ditioner may not function properly. Use cur
tains to prevent the sunlight from falling on the
receiver.

If other electrical appliances react to the
remote controller. Either removes these appli
ances or consult your local dealer.

Notes:

When replacing batteries, do not use old batteries or different type batteries. Otherwise, battery
leakage may damage the remote controller.

If you do not use the remote controller for more than a few weeks, remove the batteries, otherwise,
batteries leakage may damage the remote controller.

The average battery life during normal use is approximately half a year.

Replace the batteries when there is no receiving beep from the indoor unit or if the transmission indi
cator on remote controller fails to light.

TEMPORARY OPERATION

This function is used to operate the unit tem
porarily in case you misplace the remote con
troller or its batteries are exhausted.

1. Open the panel and lift the panel up to
angle, which remains fixed. Do not lift the
panel any further when it stops with a "click"
sound.
2. When Push the AUTO button of indoor unit's
manual switch, the unit will work in "AUTO"
mode.
3. Push the button on remote controller
straight in remote control mode.
4. The COOL switch of indoor unit is provided
for test operation.
