MAINTENANCE
CAÜTfoN:
Be sure to remove the power plug
from
the
electrical
outlet
before
cleaning
the
product.
Failure
to
do
so may result in electrical shock or
other injuiy.
Cleaning the device (Fig.11)
Switch
off
the
device
and
remove
the water tank and the jet nozzle.
•
Do not wash with hot water ex
ceeding SO'C.
•
Use only water and/or a neutral
cleaning
agent
to
clean
the
main
unit. Never use caustic or abrasive
agents
(e.g.,
vinegar
or
lime-scale
removers),
since
they
may
dam
age the device.
• Certain liquid mouthwash may dam
age
the
device
by
causing
the
housing or tank to crack. When us
ing mouthwash, rinse the tank and
main
unit
with
wbter
immediately
after use.
Be
especially
careful
when
wash
ing
the
hose
connections
at
the
main unit and the tank.
Main unit (Fig.12)
Use a cloth to clean the main unit.
Wash
hard-to-remove
stains
with
water,
•
Do not submerge the main unit in
water for along time.
•
After washing with water, wipe dry
with a cloth.
Water tank (Rg.13)
Wash the water tank in water.
•
Pour out the water inside Üie tank
after cleaning.
• If you do not intend to use the de
vice for a week or more, do dry the
inside and outside of the tank.
Charger
Use a cloth to wipe the charger,
•
If
cleaning
requires
a
detergent,
use a miid, neutral cleanser.
•
Do not use harsh chemicals such
as
thinner,
benzene
or
alcohol
as
these
will
discolour
the
surface.
About once every six months wipe
the prongs of the power plug with
a dry cloth.
CAUTION:
• Do not wash or submerge the charg
er in water.
• Never remove the power plug from
the electrical socket with a wet hand.
•
Clean the power plug periodically.
Dirt
and
dust
buildup
may
cause
electrical
shock
or
reduce
the
ef
fectiveness
of
the
insulation,
thus
resulting in overheating and a fire.
Battery
Over a period of time, all recharge
able
batteries
lose
their
recharging
capacity
if
they
are
only
partially
charged
and
discharged.
To
maintain
the full capacity of the batteries for as
long
as
possible,
the
batteries
must
initially be fully charged (for 15 hours)
and
then
fully
discharged
through
use. then fully recharge them again.
Repeat
this
recharging/discharging
procedure every two to three months.
DISPOSAL OF THE
PRODUCT
The power source of this product is
metal-hydride batteries, which can be
recycled.
Please
contact
an
autho
rised
service
centre
for
information
on how to recycle these batteries.
WARNING:
Do not disassemble the product at
any time other than when disposing
of it. Failure to obsen/e this point may
result in short-circuit, fire, or injury.
For repair or maintenance (such as
battery replacerrient), take the prod
uct to ah authorised service centre.
Removing
the
Ni-MH
batteries
be
fore disposing of the product

Before removing the batteries, be
sure to completely drain the unit of
power.
• Remove the water tank.
•
Disassemble the main unit in the
order of ® through @ (Fig.14).
•
Be careful not to short-circuit the
negative and positive poles of the
batteries.
