6) Next, remove the pump by disconnecting the inline plug (Fig. 2f),
then lift it out of the fountain. Clean away any hair or food that
may have accumulated around the flow control knob and the
intake plate of the pump.
7) Clean the fountain parts with warm water and soap. You can also
put the fountain in the dishwasher (not the pump). Remove the
pump before placing in the dishwasher. It is recommended that
you turn down the heat of the dishwasher if possible.
8) If you have troubles reaching certain spots or hard-to-reach
corners, try using a cotton bud or purchase a Drinkwell ® Cleaning
Kit (3 Brush Kit).
9) Once the fountain is completely disassembled you will have 6
plastic parts.

FOUNTAIN REASSEMBLY
1) Replace the pump into its location in between the three posts on
the right side of the fountain. Gently push down to engage the
suction cups. (Fig. 3a & 3b)
