Making calls

The factory setting is 7 digits.
Please ask your provider if you
wish to know how many digits
of the caller's number are trans-
mitted and identified by the
Russian AON.
If the number of the caller is saved in your
directory, you will see their name, and if you
have assigned a caller picture to that caller,
this will also be displayed after a short delay
if you have the CallerID service of your pro-
vider and identification is successful.
If you have no CallerID (CLIP) service but
wish to see the number or the name of a
caller, press the left display key
AON (it
appears some seconds after you have
started a call) and you will see the caller's
number if identification is successful.

If you do not have the CLIP service, External
is displayed instead of the number:
u
If no number is transmitted.
u
If the AON key has not been pressed.
u
If the caller has not arranged Calling Line
Identification.
If you have the CLIP service, the following is
displayed in place of the number:
u External, if no number is transmitted.
u Withheld, if the caller has not arranged
Calling Line Identification.
You can accept the call by:

Pressing the talk key
c.
¤
Pressing the speaker key
d.
¤
Pressing the display key §Accept§ (depend-
ent on base).
If the handset is in the charging cradle and
the Auto Answer function is activated
(

page 39), the handset automatically
answers the call when you remove it from
the charging cradle. Please note that to dis-
play the caller's phone number or name (see
next section), the display key
§CLIP§ must be
pressed before the call is accepted.
To deactivate the ringtone, press the §Silence§
display key. You can accept the call as long as
it is displayed on the screen.
Using speaker mode
In speaker mode, instead of holding the
handset to your ear, you can put it down, for
example on the table in front of you. This
allows others to participate in the call.
Activating/deactivating speaker
mode
Activating while dialling

Enter the number and press the
speaker key.

Inform your caller before you use the
speaker function so that the caller knows
someone else may be listening.
Switching between earpiece and
speaker mode

Press the speaker key.
Activate/deactivate speaker mode during a
call.
If you wish to place the handset in the charg-
ing cradle during a call:

Press and hold the speaker key
d while
placing the handset in the base.
