The Alarm
You can set the unit to play a CD, the radio or a buzzer at a
set time. The unit turns off automatically after one hour.
Preparation:
• Set the current time. page 15)
• For the CD/Radio alarm, switch to CD/Radio mode,
prepare the music source for listening, and set the volume.
Setting the alarm time
Press [CLOCK/ALARM ADJ] to select the
desired alarm mode.
Each time you press the button:
^ Clock -> ALARM 1 -> ALARM 2

ALARM 1: to set the CD/Radio alarm
ALARM 2: to set the buzzer alarm

(l) Within 10 seconds
Press [-/!◄◄] or to adjust the
alarm time.
(2) Press [CLOCK/ALARM ADJ].
The alarm time is now set and original display
restores.
Turning the alarm on
Press [ALARM 1/2] to turn on the desired
alarm.
Each time you press the button:

ALARM 1 : to play CD/Radio at the set time
ALARM 2 : to sound the buzzer at the set time
ALARM 1, ALARM 2 : to activate both ALARM 1 and 2
at their set time
(The indicator doesn’t appear if the alarm time or the
clock hasn’t been set.)

Press [TAPE/OFF DOZE] to turn the unit off.
When the CD/Radio alarm (ALARM 1) time is reached, a
buzzer with fast beep-tone will sound if:
• the unit was left on; or
• the CD alarm was turned on but CD was not loaded/CD lid
left opened; or
• the batteries are weak or only memory batteries are used.
This buzzer will be replaced with a normal beep-tone if
ALARM 2 is activated in the above conditions. (When you
turned on both alarms.)
For your reference:
The unit can be used after the alarm has been set.
Notes
You cannot adjust the volume of the buzzer alarm.
You cannot turn on CD/Radio alarm (ALARM 1) in tape
mode.
