The compressor is supplied with
automatic drain drainng receiver and
filters of condensate. Empty drain
bottle.

Ensure that fans at the back of the
cabinet work. The fans will start at
a motor temperature of 35°C/95°F
and will run continuously until
temperature has fallen although
compressor may have switched off.

Check compressor, air tubes and
equipment for leaks, and check the
pumping time.

Inspect and replace intake filter, if
necessary.

Clean the compressor with a soft,
damp cloth. Dust and dirt prevent
cooling.

Check dryer function according to
instructions in the "Adsorption Dryer
Manual".

Check the O-ring in the non-return
valve and replace if necessary.

Note! Empty receiver of air before
dismounting.

Check filter and filter elements for
optimum efficiency.

Test the safety valve by gently
pulling the ring with pressure in the
receiver.

Adjustment of pressure (fig. 10):

A:

Max. pressure adjustment (cut-out)

B:

Differential adjustment (cut-in)

The cut-in pressure (normally 6 bar) is set by adjustment

of differential screw B. Turn clockwise to reduce cut-in
pressure.

The cut-out pressure is set by even adjustment of the two

screws A. (Cut-in pressure + differential = cut-out pressure).
Turn clockwise to increase cut-out pressure.

The switch is normally factory set for operation at 6-8 bar

(approx. 90-120 psi).

page 15.

Preventive compressor maintenance

To open cabinet

·

The screws on the cabinet door are turned clockwise with a

screwdriver (fig. 11).

Inspect the dryer
Only compressors with „D“ in the model description.

·

Inspect every 1000 hours.

·

Start the compressor and let it run until the receiver
pressure is min. 3.5 bar. The pressure is to be read on the
pressure gauge for receiver pressure (fig. 12).

·

Switch off the compressor on the main switch and pull out
the plug.

·

The cabinet door is to be opened on the side with the drain
cock. The placing of the drain depends on the model.

·

Place the transparent drain tube from the drain cock in a
plastic mug or similar (fig. 13).

·

Open the drain cock carefully. (fig. 14).

·

If water comes out of the receiver after opening of the drain
cock, the dryer is not functioning correctly.

·

See „Fault finding and Repair“ in the Dryer Manual or
contact your JUN-AIR distributor.

·

If there is no water in the receiver, the dryer is working
correctly and the transparent plastic tube may be
reconnected to the drain cock. Close cabinet door.

Test the safety valve
·
Test safety valve every 1000 hours.
· Start the compressor.
· The cabinet door is opened on the side where the safety

valve is placed. The placing depends on the model.

Warning:

The compressor is connected!

· ASME safety valve: pull the ring at the end of the safety

valve (fig. 15).

· TÜV safety valve: loosen the screw at the end of the safety

valve (fig. 16).

Warning:

Loud noise!

· Air is now blown out of the safety valve, if not, valve is not

functioning correctly.

· If safety valve works, close cabinet door.
The above is valid for the safety valve mounted on the receiver
(fig. 17) as well as on the dryer (fig. 18).

Inspect the compressor for leaks

·

Inspect compressor every 1000 hours.

·

Switch off the compressor on the main switch and pull out

plug.

·

The cabinet door is opened on the side of the safety valve.

The placing of the safety valve depends on the size of the
receiver.

·

Pull the ring at the end of the safety valve (fig. 17).

Warning:

Loud noise!

·

Let the pressure fall to 0 bar. The pressure is to be read on

the pressure gauge for receiver pressure (fig. 12).

·

If the compressor is mounted with a TÜV-approved safety
