Replacement of the tank block is suggested after one year (due
to clogging of the felt inside the cap).
Replacement parts are available at your dealer.
Usingthehairstraightener
1 1 Brushyourhairtotakeoutanytangles.
This prevents hairs from being cut.
2 2 Settheswitchto“2”.Oncesteamisreleased,
takeabundleofhairandclampitwiththe
pressplateunderneaththehair.
When straightening bundles of hair at -6 cm widths, pull gently. However,
do not take much hair as it may be difficult to straighten your hair.
Clamp the bundle of hair in the center of the iron plate.
Be sure to fill the tank with water when using the hair
straightener at the “” setting.
Use both hands and hold the press plate to straighten curly hair.
Do not use excessive force as it may place a strain on hair ends.

Move the hair straightener slowly (at a
speed slower than ordinary brushing) to
thoroughly soak the hair in a steam. •
Recommended speeds (from scalp to hair ends)
Short Approx.  sec.
Semi-long Approx. - sec.
Long Approx. 7-8 sec.
Repeat on the same bundle of hair as necessary depending on
the curliness of the hair.
If the hair is difficult to straighten, straighten some of the curls,
then set the switch to “1”.

If the power is turned off with the hair straightener open, the
press plate does not lock.
Press the center of the grip as shown and
set the switch to the “0·LOCK” setting.
(If the center of the grip is not pressed,
the press plate may not lock properly.)

Notes
Use the hair straightener on dry hair. (Use on wet hair is not
effective.)
The hair straightening effect may differ according to the
individual, such as the degree of curliness and hair type.
Straightening tends to be more difficult for hard hair and hair
having a flat (oval or triangular) cross-section.
This straightener is intended to straighten hair only for that day.
Hair will return to its normal condition after shampoo.
This straightener is not suitable for those with extremely fizzled
or curly hair.
This straightener does not straighten kinky hair.
Do not use the straightener immediately after a home straight
perm liquid is used. Doing so may damage your hair.
(The straightener may be used - days after a straight perm
liquid. The straightener may also be used - days after having
your hair treated at a beauty parlor.)
Do not use together with straight perm liquids having the same
ingredients (reducing agent) as permanent wave liquids. The
reducing agent may damage your hair.
Check the back of cosmetic bottles whether liquid contains a
reducing agent or not.
