ALWAYS
Always unplug from the socket when not in use and before cleaning.
Always allow the appliance to cool before cleaning and storing.
Always ensure hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.
Always store excess portion of the power cord in the storage compartment of the base unit.
Always use the appliance on a dry level surface.
Always carry out regular checks of the supply cord to ensure no damage is evident. Should there
be any signs that the cord is damaged in the slightest degree, the entire appliance should be
returned to the Customer Service Department.
Always place the kettle on a flat surface and away from extreme heat.
Always return the appliance after a malfunction or if it has been damaged in any manner to the
Customer service department for examination, repair or adjustment as special purpose tools are
required.
Always exercise caution when carrying the kettle full of boiling water and when pouring from it.
Always avoid excessive tilting of the kettle after filling.
Always beware of steam being emitted from spout or lid especially during refilling.
Always ensure kettle is switched off before removing from base unit.

Never place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric stove or where it could touch a heated
oven or microwave oven.
Never use harsh, abrasive or caustic cleaners or oven cleaners to clean this appliance.
Never use this appliance for other than intended use. This appliance is for household use only.
Never use any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after it has malfunctioned or been dam
aged in any way.
Never open the lid during boiling cycle.
Never fill above “max” indication as hot water may be ejected.
Never fill kettle when positioned on base.
Never allow kettle to boil dry. Allow to cool, unplug and refill with cold water.
Never operate kettle if water level is below minimum.
Never use a base unit other than the one supplied.
Never insert any object into slots or holes of the kettle.
Never use the kettle to heat anything other than water.
During normal use, whenever the Kettle remains plugged into a suitable power outlet the handle
will feel slightly warm. There is no need for concern as this is part of the normal operation of the
appliance.
