Antibacterial protection
The water container HUM-4600 is made of special plastic that
contains silver ions. During operation of the device silver ions are
released and exposed with vapor killing germs, producing addi-
tional antibacterial effect.
MAINTENANCE
AND CLEANING
1. Before cleaning or storage, disconnect the
device and empty the water container (4) (4) (4) (4) (4) and
lower shell (1) (1) (1) (1) (1). Not to be hurt with electric
current, do not dip the lower shell (1) (1) (1) (1) (1) and
electric cord into water. These parts of the
device can be cleaned with a dampish soft
napless tissue. Nonabrasive detergents may
be used.
2. To clean the vapor splitter (3), take it off and flush. The splitter
should be cleaned whether there is scale visible on it or not.
3. The device should be assembled only after all its parts become
dry.
HANDY TIPS
In regions with high level of water hardness,
the device should be filled with settled water or
with water treated with special filters removing ex-
cessive calcium from water. Regularly remove scale
from the device to keep it in good condition, since
excessive scale in the device may result in its poor
operation and breakdown. Frequency of scale
cleaning depends on the tapwater hardness in your region and
on the frequency of the device usage (for example, one cleaning
after 200 times of usage).
Cleaning of the working part
Drip 2-3 drops of 9% vinegar (or citric acid) on the working
part (5), especially on scale traces and wait a couple of minutes.
Clean the surface with a soft brush for scale removal supplied with
the device. Wipe the surface with a damp clean sponge several
times to completely remove vinegar.
Cleaning of the lower shell from scale traces:
Drip 2-3 drops of 9% vinegar (or citric acid) on a soft sponge
and spread over scale traces. Wait a couple of minutes, then clean
the surface with a soft damp sponge. Finally, wipe the surface with
a damp clean sponge several times to completely remove vinegar
and wipe it dry with a soft clean tissue.
Any other works shall be performed in an authorized service
center.
